A 2nd field trip through the Islands exploring its 7000-year-old maritime heritage on foot, by car, and boat.

​

 

The tour will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday morning at the car park outside "Tigh Phlunkett"

​

 

See sub-sea roads both sacred and secular

• Ancient Holy Wells

• Vernacular Quays

• Stone Causeways

 

Complimentary Lunch provided in the Seaweed Centre Café.

 

Visiting the Colm de Bhailís Shrine.

​

 

Visiting Dighinis, a magical Island with its own Saints road and ancient middens.

​

 

We will hear of the O' Flaherty Lords, Local Poets, Armada wrecks, and a once-thriving smuggling trade in fine Wines and Tobacco.

​

Due to Covid restrictions, the max amount of passengers on our minibus has been reduced to 8 people, Therefore if you have access to your own vehicle we would appreciate it if you could arrange your own transportation between archeological sites.

 

Appropriate foot wear is essential.
